Service Status header
Some services need to be restarted to take into account changes in the service’s database.
The Service Status header is available on all Platform 6 built-in services. This header displays the service status and buttons to start/stop the service. It will allow you to manage the service execution lifecycle.
You need to have the services=*
permission to view the buttons, but any user can see the service status.
There are two statuses: Running and Stopped. When a service is stopped, you can no longer interact with it.
If there has been changes to the service database (eg: an item has been updated, deleted, added…), a small orange icon representing a code branch will appear next to the service status. Depending on the service, you might need to stop and start the service to take the changes into account.
