Service Status Header

Some services need to be restarted to take into account changes in the service’s database.

The Service Status header is available on all Platform 6 built-in services. This header displays the service status and buttons to start/stop the service. It will allow you to manage the service execution lifecycle.

Service status header

You need to have the services=* permission to view the buttons, but any user can see the service status.

There are two statuses: Running and Stopped. When a service is stopped, you can no longer interact with it.

If there has been changes to the service database (eg: an item has been updated, deleted, added…), an orange warning icon will appear next to the service status. Depending on the service, you might need to stop and start the service to take the changes into account.
