Frames Guide

The frames service allows creating and visualizing frames.

To see the Web Resources menu entry on the Portal, you need to have the permission frames=view.

Note

If you have the permission frames=*, you can have access to all the functions mentioned below.

A Platform 6 frame is an inline frame, used to embed another document within the current HTML document.

The main purpose of the frames is to be displayed on the Platform 6 dashboard. Check the Home Pages Guide to see how you can define your dashboards and embed frames in them.

View the frames

To read all the frames, you need to have the permission frames=read. Otherwise, you cannot read the data.

If your permission has values like this: frames=read('Frame 1', 'Frame 2'), you will only see the frames Frame 1 and Frame 2.

You can view a frame by double-clicking on the line associated with the frame.
